About the doctor

Hospital-trained. Patient-focused.

Dr. Fareeha Afzal Naz is a physician trained in internal medicine — the specialty that looks after adults with everything from everyday complaints to complex illnesses affecting several organs at once.

She has completed four years of postgraduate FCPS-II training in Medicine at two leading military teaching hospitals — Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Kharian and Pak Emirates Military Hospital (MH) Rawalpindi, where she served as Registrar in General Medicine. Her rotations spanned cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, gastroenterology, critical care, psychiatry and dermatology, so she looks at the whole patient, not just one symptom.

In hospital she led ICU and ward rounds, managed emergencies such as heart attacks, DKA and septic shock, and trained more than 60 house officers and residents. Her research on antibiotic resistance shapes a simple principle in her practice: the right treatment, explained clearly — and antibiotics only when they are truly needed.
